Silja Minkkinen is a photographer and a film director from Helsinki, Finland. She considers herself an expert in capturing moods, and loves working with different clients; always aspiring to create something fun & new. In her work she is most inspired by insects and scents, and feels that if one can smell the photo / film when looking at it, it’s done right. Her work is playful yet powerful.

She has worked with various different clients and projects, from directing music videos to creating visual identities to labels, and has experience from fashion to corporate, and everything in between.

She got an honor mention from Grafia as Rising Star by Finland’s most significant creative design competition Vuoden Huiput 2020, and since then has one Vuoden Huiput Silver 2021 in Brand Identity, for her work for Mö Kaurameijeri, as well as shortlisted for her work for Donier Gastronomy in 2023, and Scandy in 2024.

Her clients are e.g. Finlayson, Arabia, Marimekko, Let Me Wine, Kuvittajaliitto, VR, Zodiak. Her services provide either her working individually in a lighter production, or gathering a group of trusted coworkers to form a whole production team and provide services from pre- to postproduction, depending on clients needs.
